Preschool Graduation/End of year field trip

Sorry about thisx pic being on her 3 times.. i keep clicking on a pic of her playing her violin but it does this pic instead for some freaking reason and i don't know how to delete a pic off a post so there ya go!!

On May 14th, Ash graduated from her second year of preschool and she is actually starting Kindergarten next week on her birthday. She is so excited and tells me that I better not cry cause she'll be fine. Anyway, I was so proud of her performance at graduation. She was not shy like she has been at previous times. She once yelled "mom!!" and she was often the first to answer her teacher's questions when they were having their mock classroom time. It was funny..one particular time I laughed cause her violin teacher was asking them to identify certain parts of their violins. she would point to a part and the kids would shout out what it was. One time Ash was the only one to yell "F holes" and inside I thought, "oh man, i'm turning her into a nerd and that everyone could probably tell her mother plays the violin too", lol. Anyway, after she graduated she chose to go to Taco Bell for dinner. Classy I know but its her favorite place ever! We want to thank everyone for coming to support her on this great achievement and for all the gift she recieved, you all helped to make a small important time in her life really special.

So on Monday, the 17th it was the end of year class picnic at Hidden Valley park. The kids had a ton of fun running around, blowing bubbles and just being kids while the mom's chit chatted on the side, then we ate lunch and said our good byes. I think I was the only mother lame enough to have tears running down my cheeks as we climed into our jeep to head home. I hope that nobody noticed, but I'm sure they did. I was just sad that Ash is growing up so fast and that I will never see these awesome teachers again, and Ash may not see her cute little friends that she's been in class with for two years. I did manage to grab some of her friend's phone numbers so we can set up some play dates so that will be good.

Cotton Days

So my camera died so I can't post any pics but this one. Anyway, this week Washington City has been celebrating Cotton Days. I swear either they didn't have this when I lived there growing up or the festivities just weren't as big. Its quite the fun little celebration!! Last night I took Ash to the movie in the park, Disney's original Alice In Wonderland. Ash loved it!!! Then this morning I took her to the parade followed by games and rides at the park. I swear every year, she is less and less afraid of things. (Some still say she's afraid of her shadow) But to me who sees her every day, I see that she isn't and she is actually growing and toughening up. There is this old man that shoots a muzzle loader at every parade in town and it is the loadest dang gun and every parade Ash cries when it goes off, BUT NOT this year. She rode two rides: a ferris wheel and some spinning strawberries. Both without me, and instead with strange kids and on one ride she was locked up with two boys and didn't even care. Next, her and Lucan got their pic taken with the Star Wars guys (storm troopers and I thought Darth Vader but cody says its just a fighter guy) Anyway, she played all the games by herself and even won herself two goldfish at one ball toss thing. We spent all morning there and I am sunburnt and now suffering allergies. Lucan survived the heat and his first parade like a trooper. Infact right now he is smiling and cooing at the fish on his swing. I can't believe how old he is and he is such a happy baby, we LOVE him.

footprints, lucan's first toy, wildlife museum

This is pretty messy, but i love doing it. I have ashlee's foot prints in paint on a wooden frame and so I wanted lucan's too. but i couldn't find wooden frames anywhere so i improvised.

its not done in this picture but you get the idea.

a few weeks agao, lucan really started to focus on things so i broke out one of ash's old toys for him to play with and he loves it.

he still might like uncel sean better though ;)

last week i wanted to use a coupon i had to get both me and ash into the wildlife museum for free so we went. and she HATED it!! This is what she looked like most of the time, infact right as we walked through the enterance she started freaking out so i was so close to going to the lady and getting our coupon back and leaving.
look how concerned she is here, lol.. i was laughing the whole time which i'm sure doesnt help but ha it really was comical. and its a good thing we were the only ones in there cause i'm sure people wouldn't have been impressed with me. she was bawling, i was laughing and telling her to stop instead of comforting her. i think once lucan was even crying cause he was hungry so it was quite the show.

this is the last animal in the exhibit. its friendly, the lights are on and its got peaceful music up here so she finally got happy, or maybe it was the elevator she knew we were almost getting on which meant we were going home.

My two adorable kiddos!!! I love them so much and am so glad i was blessed with two good mannered babies who slept throught he night early and were always very calm. How did i get so lucky..**fingers crossed and knocking on wood that i didnt' just jinx myself**

easter and gymnastics

I have wanted to put Ash in this since sha was 3 but this particular class either conflicted with her preschool or my work schedule so I could never make it work. But thanks to maternity leave we did it this time..and she loves it and i'm amazed at how flexible she is. This is them stretching out first. It turnned out the Thurs class only had two kids so they moved us to join the Tues class so now there is 4 girls and 2 boys. Sorry the pics aren't that good I'm taking them through glass.

Working on handstands..

They walked up the wall here but I took the pic too soon, she ended up getting her legs straight up and held it there for a bit.

This is a trampoline thing that helps them work on balance.

This is the end of a front summersault where she makes them land like this, pretty natural looking gymnast I think. I'm trying to decide what lessons to sign her up for when she starts kindergarten. Right now she does violin, singing, tap, ballet, tumbling at preschool and I am trying to decide which one to continue her in. She likes them all but I think would have the most fun in dance or gymnastics..If you ask her what she wants to do she says gymnastics.
