10/10/10

A special day for my mom..Finally after 11 years of being divorced she remarried. A long, long time ago Alan took Cody and I to lunch at Olive Garden and he asked my permission to marry my mom. I of course said yes because he is the most awesome guy. He is the best thing that ever happened to my mom and Ashlee has always adored him. We were excited to have him in our family. I really think that was 2 years ago. They always talked about a 10/10/10 wedding but at the time it was so far away, we thought they were just joking about it. Well, situations came and prolonged their engagment til it finally just worked out for them. I am so happy for them and the new family we have now. Ashlee was the flower girl and was so cute, she cried, she said cause she got stage fright with everyone staring at her, of course!!

RaH rAh!!!

Ashlee loves cheerleaders and gets so excited when she sees them in a parade..A flyer got sent home from school about a cheer clinic for DHS. I signed her up, she loved it and impressed the heck outta me. She was so brave and learned her dance perfectly..She even asked for a pic with the mascot. The following month PVHS held their clinic so I signed her up for that too. She was so excited to get to do it again.

Cousins

These boys are so cute..I wish Kaelin was closer so they could be best buds and go to school together and such but oh well. Kaelin was born 2/12/10 and Lucan 03/14/10.

Crawdads, Icky!!

Back in July at the Chadburn Family Reunion we went crawdad fishing with sticks for poles, fishing line and bacon. It was a riot!!! Ash loved it and so Cody took us to a secret spot in Veyo and we had a little picnic. It was great..we had so much fun that we went there again but left Lucan at home. (Thanks megan for watching him and having to deal with him not eating for you). Here are some of the pics.

Girl's Trip Vegas 2010

A tradition was started 3 years ago that the girls on my mom's side of the family took a weekend get a way to Las Vegas and stay in a time share. It is tons of fun and great to get away..This place is like paradise and its always sad to have to come home. I remember the first year was a BLAST!!!! The second year I was 11 weeks pregnant and super super tired so the late nights out were a bit much for me but it was still FUN!! I had a horrible blow up at work that year too so most of the trip was spent thinking of that and it kinda ruined things. This past trip I was nursing Lucan so he came a long, it was fun but not all that much of a vacation. And I got lost without my baby and I was scared and thought I was gonna get kidnapped, raped and murdered. The other thing that was on my mind this past trip was Cody..We are super poor right now and haven't gone away together since Ash was a baby so I felt bad that each year I go on this great get a way and leave him behind. I felt super guilty about it. Next year is our last all girls trip and then they say the following year we get to take our families...I kinda wish that next year was family year..Ash would LOVE it to pieces, Lucan would be old enough to enjoy it too and I think Cody would appreciate being included.

This is the view of the pool from our balcony.
Lucan was such a great companion...He slept perfectly, hardly cried and was a nice excuse to not do any late night outs. This was his comfy little bed on the floor.

Lucan rolled over for the first time

Me and Mickie (married to my cousin) She is the funnest girl.

My cousin Jeri. Each year someone else is in charge of picking the weekend, planning meals, a activity or craft and sending out invites. She was in charge this year and made salt water taffy for us to pull. It was so interesting!

And harder then heck to do..We had a few 3rd degree burns from it and very sore hands, most of us pooped out and watched (me being one of them)

The twins trying to work together (my mom and aunt Kay)

Ta da!!!!

Oh Trudy !:) eh??

5 months old HUSKY!!

The whole gang, well minus my grandma--she was probably wondering around lost and talking to strangers..such a crazy lady!!!

He loved the water and even got himself a FARMERS TAN..and can you say beer belly:)

My cousin Jeri is missing from this pic, she had already flown back to Seattle

And a slurpee for the ride home..

2010 Family Pics

Our cousin and Photographer of Purple Plumbphotography, (Check her out at www.purpleplumbphotography.blogspot.com), took our family pics for us the first part of November. **This post is out of order but I am doing it among all the September stuff only cause they are on my computer. After this post I am gonna get more pics off my camera and then continue on.** Anyway, Pam did an amazing job with us. I absolutely hate being in front of a camera, getting a baby to look is always a challange, Ashlee has ADD when she's in front of a camera-she's always running here and there saying "how bout here?" "lets do this" "k, now here" She won't stay in one place for too long. And then there is Cody who is hard to get good pics of. So, she had her work cut out for her. But she did great. She got tons of cute shots. These are some of my favorites!!!
OH this one was not my favorite. I was glad she did it, but it was very very very embarassing. Cody and I do not do PDA of any sort so this was sort of awkward. I remember when we were on our cruise and the two couples we were with and us did these kissing pictures on the beach. They all looked so cute, natural and in love and then there was our pic. We looked stiff and like it was our first time kissing ever. So stupid!!

Check out Lucan's lips in this one, so freakin cute!!

What a stud boy!!!:)

And this one, this is one of the BEST pics of the two of us, and I mean ever...absolutely my favorite!!

You can see a little of Ashlee's 'Photo Shoot ADD' here. she can hardly contain herself wanting to show us to our next destination. What a kid?!?

The 2 men in my life..I love them so much!

I dont' think anyone told her how to pose here in this one and the one below. She's a natural I tell ya.

The sky in this one is amazing

She has him totally wrapped around her finger.

Ok this one makes me laugh.. Ash was headed up to the very highest spot on this hill near the fence line. For some odd reason she wanted a pic up there. I had these slippery high heeled boots and with the baby, I was not the least bit impressed with going up there. So we stood and watched and tried to coax her down.

Look at him sitting up in a tree all by hisself.

My little dork :)
