THE BEST DAY EVER!!!

He looks like a sad little boy in this picture
Here is the full body side profile.

There is no question here, he is definately a BOY!!

This is our favorite picture. I love how it looks like he's smiling, and I love his little pointed finger. The whole ultrasound was so cool!! We saw him yawning and he was all into his hands, it was adorable!! He obviously likes his picture taken unlike his daddy, cause all his pics turned out way good. We are so excited to have a little boy in our home and can't wait to meet you!! Now what are we gonna name you is the question??

A quick trip to Salt lake

This was on display at a museum we went to. Weird I know..and if you look just above Ash's head and to the left you'll see Osama on a Wheaties box. This was her favorite display in the museum. All the other things were too scary..
Just outside the Salt Lake library. We had a fun time chasing the pigeons and looking for ones that weren't the typical gray color. Ash thought it was funny that we'd run and jump at them and make them freak out and fly away.

This is a dorky pic, but I had been trying to chase her with the camera and she kept escaping the photo leaving me with a pic of the tile or the fence and no Ash. Do you see that plastic bag in her left hand? Well, inside the library it was science day and there were all sorts of hands on things for the kids to do to learn about science. This was some "goo" she got to make. She also dug for minerals in the sand, and made a butterfly out of a coffee filter. There were tons of other things to do and me and Ash were having fun but I could tell that Grandma, Uncle Sean, and Aunt Shante were completely bored out of their mind so I didn't let her do everything else. I wish I would have though.

This pic is for you Sean and Shante..he he!! Anyway, I love the fall. The changing leaves, pumpkin pie, cool weather, and hot soup are my favorites. Sean and Shante kept making fun of me and Cheryl for wanting to go on a drive to see the leaves so this is as close as we got to seeing fall leaves and I just had to capture it on camera.

I took this pic from the balcony of the Salt Lake library. That tallest white building below the "U" is the apartments that Sean and Shante live in. Good thing they are on the first floor.

Cheryl, this pic is for you. Just imagine me lifting Ash up to see the bottom of the stairs and letting her peak over the edge. Don't pee your pants now. Ha ha..anyway from the balcony you can look down this stair case and I just thought it would make a cool photo.

This is also from the balcony. The pic below is me holding Ash to try to get this in the back ground. Again, Cheryl--its ok I won't drop her.

We went to the Farmer's market and tasted some delicious fruit and not so delicious goats milk strawberry yogurt. The cutest little park was across the street from the market, along with a cute bridge and river of ducks. We had a very fun time on this what seemed like a short trip to some but longer for others. The weather was nice and it was fun to get away and not have to sleep uncomfortably, pee and poop uncomfortably and almost require CPR while hiking as it was for me hunting.

Ok and Ash just loved these flowers and thought it would be cute to take a pic by them. She had to take my pic and then below she wanted a pic of her too. She's so funny.

Muzzleloader

Cody and I went hunting with his dad and his dad's best friend. We didn't fill our tags and I will never hunt pregnant again but being on the mountain with Cody for over a weeks was lots of fun.

General Parade

So as I had mentioned in the Children's parade post, the girls won and got to be in the general parade the next day. The only sad kicker was Ava was gonna be out of town with her dad and would not be able to ride. I told Ash she'd won and she was so dang excited, it was cute. and then I asked her if she'd ride by herself since Ava woudn't be there and she got so sad. She said that she wanted to really bad but without a buddy she'd be sad and woudn't do it. So I immediately started trying to find a sub for Ava. After a few hours and a few maybe's or no's, I found out that Ellie, Ash's other best friend would do it. We were so excited. The girls had fun and did really good. It was a lot hotter today than yesterday and they actually did so good that me and Haley couldn't keep up with them. I was worried that they'd freak when they didn't see us on the side walk by them but they apperantly didn't care and just cruised right along. Ash had more fun this day cause I wasn't all stressed out about it. And thanks to Pam for getting two good pics of them for us.

Rodeo

I was so excited about the children's parade that I forgot to blog about the rodeo that we had gone to the day before. I went with my dad and Lori and we had a blast. I felt bad for my dad though cause he has to wake up at like 3 to get to work and should have been in bed probably beore the rodeo even started. I hope he had fun. They took me and Ash for my birthday (which was the following day) Oh and Cody is invited every year but he hates rodeos so he will never go. Ash's favorite part is the bulls and next year she says she wants to ride a sheep. She was so scared of the idea last year that I didn't even try to sign her up but then I had to put up with her begging to ride a sheep for like a week before the rodeo and then when it started hse wanted to go out there. Would she, "being the brave soul that she is", really do it? The other cool thing about the rodeo this particular night is that my cousins daughter Devyn--8 years old, sang the National Anthem. It was by far the most tender moment ever. She has such a beautiful singing voice and was so brave to sing such a hard song without music in the back ground. You could tell she was a bit nervous and her voice had this cute little shake to it but she really did an amazing job. I was bawling and the lady next to me asked if she was my daughter, ha ha.

Flu shot

So I am way behind on blogging and I hope to get caught up today. I feel like I blogged more while I was in school than I do now and I can't figure it out, laziness I guess..Anyway, back in September I took Ash in to get her seasonal flu shot. I asked Cody to come with me cause I know how dramatic she is about shots and I would not be able to carry her before or after while she was crying since I am pregnant. Her doctors office is at the hospital so it is quite a walk from the parking lot into the hospital. Anyway, to our luck she fell asleep on the way from our house to the hospital so she didn't immediately start to cry when we pulled into the parking lot. Infact she stayed asleep until we got onto the elevator. When she opened her eyes she asked why we were here and what was going to happen. I told her that we just came to ask her doctor a question. Still no crying..When we got to the receptionist she asked who we were and then said are you here for your flu shot appoinment or to see the doctor. I swear Ash heard those words from across the waiting room cause when I turned to look at her and Cody she was bawling. That bawling continued from then, to getting called back to the room, increased quite a bit during the shot and then continued until well after we got home. I think she ended up crying for 2 hours straight. At home she would not walk or even bend her leg, so she pretty much stayed in the same spot until we took her to bed. The next morning she had not forgotten about her injury. She gently slid her night gown up just passed her thigh and peaked to see that the hole in her leg was still there. She winced in pain while I got her dressed, even putting on her shirt which has nothing to do with her leg. Then when it was time to go to Grandma's she completely freaked out when she was going to have to bend her leg to sit in her car seat. To be honest I felt bad for the girl the first few minutes after we'd gotten home after her shot and then me and Cody just got plain annoyed with her and lost sympathy. So it was the last straw when she wouldn't get into the jeep. Anyway, I guess at Grandma's house she drew a picture depicting this, in her mind, tragic event. Here is the pic I took of that picture. I am dreading getting the H1N1 shot for her, even the mist thats out cause she thinks that is a needle that goes up her nose.
I think all the randomness around the stick figure is her anger and pain about getting the shot. Then you can see a weird shaped thing around the right leg of the stick figure (thats the shot) and you can see a dark point dipping down inside that weird shape heading right for her leg (thats the needle). Look at the poor face on that stick figure, very sad..I think it is kind of amazing that she actually put enough thought into putting her feelings down on paper and creating this pic so I just had to save it.
